What is the lip filler process?
Consultation
We’ll talk through what you’re looking to achieve, assess your natural lips, and create a plan that complements your features.
Preparation
A numbing cream is applied to ensure you feel as comfortable as possible during the treatment.
Application
Using ultra-fine needles, the filler is carefully injected into the areas we’ve planned, giving your lips volume and definition where needed. The whole process usually takes just 20–30 minutes.
Aftercare
You might notice some mild swelling or redness after treatment, but this settles quickly. We’ll guide you on how to care for your lips so they heal beautifully.
Results usually last 6–12 months, depending on how your body processes the filler.
Most patients find the treatment very comfortable, especially with numbing cream applied beforehand.
Lip fillers are reversible – we can dissolve them using a safe enzyme called hyaluronidase if needed.
Swelling is typically most noticeable within the first 24–48 hours and usually subsides within 3–5 days. For some, minor swelling can last up to a week.
It’s best to avoid makeup around the treated area for at least 24 hours to reduce the risk of irritation or infection.
