Children dentistry
Sandy, Bedfordshire
At Aura Dental, we’re passionate about creating positive dental experiences for children. We know that a healthy smile in childhood lays the foundation for lifelong oral health, and we’re here to support your family every step of the way.

Why is children's dentistry important?
Children’s teeth play a vital role in their overall development, from chewing and speech to confidence and facial growth. Establishing good habits early on and addressing issues promptly can prevent problems later in life.
Our gentle, child-friendly approach helps make visits enjoyable and stress-free for both kids and parents.
What we offer for children

Preventive care
Regular check-ups, cleanings, and fluoride treatments to keep cavities at bay.

Education
Teaching kids (and parents) how to brush and floss properly for healthy habits at home.

Early orthodontic assessment
Identifying alignment issues early can make treatment simpler and more effective later.

Gentle treatments
Fillings, sealants, and other procedures performed with a calm and caring touch.
Top tips for a healthy smile

Brush twice daily with a fluoride toothpaste and supervise brushing until age 7.

Limit sugary snacks and drinks, encouraging water and balanced meals instead.

Make oral hygiene fun with colourful toothbrushes and kid-friendly timers.

Lead by example – children mimic their parents, so show them how you care for your teeth!
What makes our care different?
We understand that visiting the dentist can feel intimidating for children. That’s why we focus on:
-
A friendly environment
A welcoming, non-threatening space where kids feel safe and comfortable.
-
Patience & understanding
We take the time to explain everything in child-friendly terms.
-
Family-centred approach
Involving parents in every step to ensure peace of mind and trust.
-
Building trust early
Positive experiences as a child lead to a lifetime of good dental habits.
Around their first birthday or when their first tooth appears, whichever comes first.
Every six months is ideal to monitor growth and prevent potential issues.
We’ll examine their teeth and gums, provide a gentle cleaning if needed, and offer advice on at-home care in a way they’ll understand.
We use a friendly, patient approach and create a welcoming environment to help ease their fears. Parents are welcome to stay close for reassurance.
